My name is Cinthia and I’ve been chosen to be QC Makeup Academy’s YouTube Correspondent. Now, the only appropriate thing to do would be to introduce myself. Like I said, my name is Cinthia - Makeup with Cinthia here on YouTube - and I am currently a student at QC Makeup Academy. I’d like to call myself a makeup enthusiast. I love anything that has to do with makeup and beauty. I am not a professional, although I hope to be one someday. I chose to study at QC Makeup Academy for two reasons: Reason #1 is that at the moment, I can’t go to a school, like physically take myself to a school. I am a mother to a 1yr old little boy, so it is very hard to find somebody to take care of him at the moment. So, online courses were the only way for me to go at the moment. Reason #2 is that they have a super convenient payment plan, and it’s awesome for those of us who are on a budget. So that is what sold me, their payment plan. My goal for the future is to be a freelance makeup artist. I would love to do weddings and special events. Weddings really attract me because on a wedding day, the bride is looking to be the most beautiful, and I would love to be a part of that, and help her achieve that. So yes, I’m really enjoying studying at QC Makeup Academy. I love that if you ever need help, they are a phone call away, or you can log into the student center and interact with other students if you have any questions. They really do care about their students and it really shows. My favorite assignments so far are the ones where you actually get to apply makeup on people, because that’s what I love. In the process you get to start practicing, if you don’t have a lot of experience doing makeup on others, and you just get to practicing and it’s great. One of the best things about QC is the student tutor experience. When I first started, I will admit that I didn’t think that it would be much of a personal thing. But, once I submitted my first unit and I got my feedback from my tutor I was amazed. I honestly felt like I was sitting in a classroom listening to my teacher giving me feedback, and I loved it. My tutor is Nathan Johnson and I’m so happy that he’s my tutor. He’s an amazing makeup artist and I love getting feedback from him. It’s such an honor that he gets to review my work, it really is.
