Visit us at www.qcmakeupacademy.com or give us a call for more information on our courses today. Hello Everybody! My name is Cinthia and I’ve been chosen to be QC Makeup Academy’s YouTube Correspondent. Now, the only appropriate thing to do would be to introduce myself. Like I said, my name is Cinthia - Makeup with Cinthia here on YouTube - and I am currently a student at QC Makeup Academy. I’d like to call myself a makeup enthusiast. I love anything that has to do with makeup and beauty. I am not a professional, although I hope to be one someday. I chose to study at QC Makeup Academy for two reasons: Reason #1 is that at the moment, I can’t go to a school, like physically take myself to a school. I am a mother to a 1yr old little boy, so it is very hard to find somebody to take care of him at the moment. So, online courses were the only way for me to go at the moment. Reason #2 is that they have a super convenient payment plan, and it’s awesome for those of us who are on a budget. So that is what sold me, their payment plan. My goal for the future is to be a freelance makeup artist. I would love to do weddings and special events. Weddings really attract me because on a wedding day, the bride is looking to be the most beautiful, and I would love to be a part of that, and help her achieve that. So yes, I’m really enjoying studying at QC Makeup Academy. I love that if you ever need help, they are a phone call away, or you can log into the student center and interact with other students if you have any questions. They really do care about their students and it really shows. My favorite assignments so far are the ones where you actually get to apply makeup on people, because that’s what I love. In the process you get to start practicing, if you don’t have a lot of experience doing makeup on others, and you just get to practicing and it’s great. One of the best things about QC is the student tutor experience. When I first started, I will admit that I didn’t think that it would be much of a personal thing. But, once I submitted my first unit and I got my feedback from my tutor I was amazed. I honestly felt like I was sitting in a classroom listening to my teacher giving me feedback, and I loved it. My tutor is Nathan Johnson and I’m so happy that he’s my tutor. He’s an amazing makeup artist and I love getting feedback from him. It’s such an honor that he gets to review my work, it really is. So that’s it for now. If you’re currently a student at QC Makeup Academy I would love to know why you chose this school. So leave me your comments down below, and thank you so much for watching. I’ll see you in the next video. Goodbye. |

Melanie Adamski: I know that many of our students at QC Makeup Academy are very exited to get into the field of makeup for fashion and runway. What advice do you have for those students? Nathan Johnson: You've got to go for it. You have to go for it. Keying a show takes a little while. The best thing you can do is you can start to volunteer, and you can start to contact the key artists whose work you really respect. Show them examples of your work and see if you can get hired for a job. I can't tell you the number of times I've brought people in who just sent me a really enthusiastic letter. I can't tell you. Most importantly, be nice. The letters that would come to me were so nice, and I'd be like, "You know what? I should give that person a try." And I've met some artists I've really, really loved who just messaged me on Facebook or sent me an email, [a million other things]. Melanie Adamski: Wow! |

Find out more about QC Makeup Academy at www.qcmakeupacademy.com or by calling 1-800-267-1829. Hello everybody, thank you for tuning in today! So today I’m going to bring you this tutorial, and it’s the look that I’m wearing right now. It’s also the look that I was wearing in my intro video. So if you haven’t seen that, I encourage you to go see it. That way you can get to know me a little better and have an idea of what I’m doing here on QC’s channel. So today I decided to start off with something very basic. This is your basic smoky eye with some color. I’m using the Wet n’ Wild comfort Zone palette, and I’m going to be using these two shades right here. You can find this palette at Wal-Mart, CVS, or Walgreens. It’s very affordable and great quality. If you don’t have this palette you can easily make this look your own. Just take two colors of your choice; let’s say maybe a light blue color and just a darker blue color on the outer corner. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy this look so let’s get started! So I’m going to start off without foundation because I feel that this is easier to cleanup fallout. I’m going to start off by taking my Urban Decay Primer Potion, and applying this all over the lids and a little bit on the lower lash line. This is really going to help your eye shadow stay on much longer and prevent it from creasing. Now, I’m going to take this Real Techniques shadow brush, and I’m going to take this beautiful green colour, and I’m just going to pat this all over the lid. I can imagine this colour looking so gorgeous on deeper skin tones. And I also feel that it really brings out hazel or brown eyes. Just pat it all over the lid. Now I’m taking this Sigma brush – this is the E35 – just a fluffy brush to kind of blend that out, just to make it a look a little softer. I’m taking that same Real Techniques brush and going into the crease shade, and I’m going to pat this on the outer half of the lid, also making sure to blend those two colours together. You want it to be a smooth transition between those two colours. And, what I love about this brush is that you can take it on its side, and use it to blend this colour into the crease. It’s a great brush. Now I’m taking this Coastal Scents Pro Fluff Brush, and I’m just going to use this to blend those edges out. The key to this look is to really blend, blend, and blend. So don’t forget, blend, blend, blend! It’s very important, and it’s what’s going to make this look seem very effortless and seamless. So now I’m using a makeup remover wipe. I actually use baby wipes because they’re so gentle on the skin, and I’m just going to clean that up a little. Now I’m taking kind of fluffy dome brush, from Sonia Kashuk, and I’m going to take a matt colour from Wet n’ Wild. - this is called Brule. I want a matt colour right under the brow, because all the other colours are shimmer; I don’t want shimmer from the lid to the brow. This is going to highlight under the brow and also help clean those edges up a little. Now I’m taking that same crease shade and I’m going to use the smudge brush to line the lower lashes. I’m not taking this all the way in, because I feel like taking it all the way in closes up the eyes. Just taking it halfway in actually makes them look bigger. Now I’m taking black eyeliner, and an eyeliner brush to smudge it out. First I’m going to apply the eyeliner on my upper lash line, as close to the lash line as possible. Then I’m going to go in with my eyeliner brush and smudge that out, and this is going to define the look a little more. It also helps to hide my lash band. You can use liquid of course, cream, or gel, but I like this because it looks much softer. Now I’m going to curl my lashes and prepare them for the false lashes. Of course, if you don’t want to us them you don’t need to. Just go ahead and apply the mascara. The lashes I’m using today are from Salon Perfect, and they can be found at Wal-Mart. I’m going to use the duo lash glue, and I just apply a little bit to the band, making sure to get a little extra on the corners as well. Then I just directly apply it as close to the lash line as possible. After that I’m just going to apply a few coats of mascara once the glue dries. This binds the real and fake eyelashes together. So here is the finished eye look. Now, on to foundation. I’m going to use the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki and I’m going to apply my MAC NC20 foundation. This is the Studio Fix fluid foundation. To be honest, on a regular day I wouldn’t apply foundation. Just concealer, a little bit of powder, and I would go. But today, I wanted to put on a full face of makeup, so foundation it is. I really love this brush for liquid foundation. It’s really great for buffing in the product. Now I’m going to take my NYX concealer in a jar with my Eco Tools concealer brush, and I’m going to conceal my under eye circles. I actually like to blend this out with my clean finger, trying not to tug but to make tapping motions. Now I’m going to set everything with my e.l.f. Complexion Perfection Powder. When you swirl your powder brush into this, it makes a translucent powder. I really like this product because it absorbs oil quite well. Now I’m going to take my MAC blush in Tenderling – a fairly neutral and matt colour – with my Real Techniques contour brush. I like this brush because it results in a very subtle contour, and it’s just very pretty. Now I’m taking my NYX lipstick in Indian Pink and applying that – another very soft peachy colour. And here’s another look, I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching, and I’ll see you in the next video. Goodbye. |
